ELF at the World Superbike 2024
The World Superbike World Championship
The Superbike World Championship is considered one of the biggest sporting events in international motorcycling. It is currently in its 37th season, since it began in 1988. The competition for 2024 has 12 dates that will be held between February and October, starting in Australia and ending in Spain.
The general concept has been the same since WorldSBK's inauguration in 1988: competitions with bikes derived from production bikes and with which fans can easily identify with their road models.
Compared to standard road models, a World Superbike mount features certain modifications: engine management, exhaust system, suspension, brakes and various engine parts.
The bike must weigh a minimum of 168 kg, with a power ranging from 750cc to 1200cc, depending on the number of cylinders in the engine.

ELF Marc VDS Racing Team with Sam Lowes
Sam Lowes remains in familiar surroundings for 2024 as both he and his ELF Marc VDS Racing Team join WorldSBK, after so many years of experience working together in Moto2™ . It is also a return to the paddock for the 2013 Supersport World Champion, who prepares for his WorldSBK debut.
Lowes, who will be racing in the #14 this year instead of the usual #22 ridden by his twin brother Alex, has a decade of experience in the MotoGP™ paddock under his belt. His first win came in Moto2™ in 2015 and two more the following year. Two strong seasons earned him a seat in MotoGP™, but he only lasted one year before returning to Moto2™.
The 2020 and 2021 seasons would prove to be Lowes’ finest, as he challenged for the title in the former and took fourth in the latter. An injury-plagued 2022 campaign saw him finish with just two podiums to his name, before returning to the top step in his final Moto2™ season before his arrival in WorldSBK aboard a Ducati Panigale V4R.
