ELF is one of the only engine oils operators to have obtained certifications for its fuel-saving lubricants from four independent bodies. These organizations have confirmed an average annual fuel saving of one liter of fuel per 100 km or a saving of 3% (with the combined use of Fuel Economy Lubricants for engines, gearboxes and axles).

Developed in TotalEnergies laboratories, fuel-saving engine oils have undergone extensive testing, from independent laboratory tests to large-scale testing on entire fleets of vehicles.

ELF Lubricants Low SAPS products meet the needs of the most modern engines, allowing their decontamination systems to operate at their maximum capacity.

Our low-emission lubricants - or "low SAPS" - contain low levels of sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulfur (SAPS).

SAPS contained in traditional lubricants can have a harmful effect on aftertreatment systems that remove polluting emissions. Diesel particulate filters (DPF) are particularly sensitive to SAPS.

ELF lubricants' Low SAPS technology reduces their environmental impact by optimizing the performance of these decontamination systems.

There has been an unprecedented R&D focus on decontamination systems in the automotive field over the past few years. Therefore, car manufacturers have introduced particulate filters.

Designed for diesel engines, the filters trap accumulated particulate and produce a diesel injection, which ultimately burns off the undesirable components.

This has presented a new challenge for lubricants and TotalEnergies has risen to the challenge.
